o The first thing is to eat a balanced diet. Eat more fruits and vegetables and get rid of the high sugar, processed foods. Along with eating better is getting the right nutrients in the system.
o So the second thing is to take vitamins and minerals to help your body work properly.
o The third tip is to quit all those nasty unhealthy habits. Smoking, drinking, drugs, chewing tobacco, whatever your vice may be quit now. You are in charge of your health and living a healthier lifestyle means getting rid of the things that may kill you.
o The fourth thing to do is exercise. Exercise makes you feel good and can motivate you to get other things done as well.
o Along with exercise, number five is making sure you see a doctor each year for an annual physical. This is more important in women, but men should be seeing a doctor every 2-3 years to make sure there are no big health concerns.

Your job is something you will be doing for at least the next 20 years, so you should love it. If you don't keep looking until you find something you do love.

Start with those healthy lifestyle choices and see how you feel in the next few weeks. You should feel more energized, motivated, and positive.

Fun Things To Do At Home With Children

Having seven children - five of them boys - they love spending time outside getting muddy. However as the nights draw in and the weather becomes wetter and colder outside play has to be cut to a minimum most days. The problem with staying inside to play though means that the first choice is either watching television or playing on the play station. Not wanting to encourage too much 'couchpotatoism' in my children I have to keep lots of fun and entertaining ideas up my sleeve to entice them away from the box and also to stimulate their minds and curiosity.

Of course I do allow them to watch television and we even have a subscription to Sky television. There are some wonderful programmes these days that teach children all about history, science, travel and cookery - and of course, they don't realise that they are learning because they are having fun! Children, like adults, also need some time out in which to relax and chill out, but too much time in front of the TV means they may become a little too relaxed and don't get to burn off their excess energy and so end up fighting with each other.

My children vary from newborn up to twelve years and so finding activities that they can all enjoy and which don't wreak too much havoc can be a challenge at times. We have a big table which we try and use for most activities. This helps keep the mess all in one place. I also try and seat each child not to close to the child next to them - less chance of WW3 breaking out over who has which colour pen and less chance that one of them will be stabbed in the eye!

Fun Things To Do At Home With Children

The table-based activities that seem to go down well include the following:

Playdough - all children (and parents!) seem to like playdough. We prefer the cooked sort because it lasts up to a week if stored inside the fridge. There are various recipes available online and you just have to work out which suits you best. Never known what people use cream of Tartar for? Make playdough and you will find out that it is a vital ingredient! I also advocate adding salt because this stops little ones eating it. After being used daily for a week it's not the sort of thing you want your child to be eating!

My children like to make animals and spaceships out of playdough but cake cutters are also useful and you can also bake the figures made and paint them at a later date. We don't often do this in our household because painting is currently banned. Due to one of them painting some of the new words they had learnt in the school playground on the living room wall and also inscribing them on the brand new pine doors around the house we have withdrawn all paint and felt-tip pens from the house.

Another activity which they all seem to enjoy is scrapbook keeping. We tend to go on a big family holiday once a year and so in the months leading up to this we collect travel brochures about the places we are going and cut out pictures and the children then write about what they want to do and see when they get there. Then we watch the news and read the newspapers and cut out any articles or pictures relevant to the places we are going. Our family holidays tend to involve a lot of driving and visiting places so this is easy to do. We are also Disney fans which means pictures are usually easy to find. Cutting with scissors, obviously, needs to be supervised closely (especially the boys) but it's good to let children develop their cutting skills from quite a young age. The plastic scissors designed for children we tend to find are useless for cutting more than a stamp in half and so we do use real scissors - but since these are good at cutting your own or your sibling's hair a responsible adult does need to watch every move. We have had a few near misses with fringes going missing....

As I mentioned earlier, I am not a fan of colouring pens and paints. These treats are reserved for school time and playgroup. My house has just been redecorated after someone drew a picture of me on the dining room wall. It was horrendous and had to be painted over to remove it. I therefore only allow crayons and colouring pencils into the house now. Woe betide any relative who gives the children pens for Christmas! The children tend to lose patience with crayons quite quickly - they just don't seem to colour that well, and so colouring pencils are favoured. For paper we pick up cheap copying paper from the supermarket (they don't like drawing on the back of printed scrap paper) and also use rolls of wall lining paper for larger projects. In fact the latter is great for collages too - glue made from flour and water is very cheap and quick to make and washes out of clothing easily.

When the children feel in the mood to be crafty, having tired of drawing on their siblings' arms and legs, another favourite is for the boys to make and decorate paper aeroplanes and the girls like to make pasta necklaces. Macaroni seems to work best and I occasionally allow them to get some paints out - but only in small quantities and Dad's old shirts have to be worn to prevent their clothes getting too stained.
The planes are then thrown all over the house so the next hour is spent clearing up the mess and retrieving the planes from the toilet and other off places where they have ended up.

Away from the table one of my favourite activities for them is to build an assault course - this reminds me of being a small child when I used to pretend to be a horse and set myself obstacle courses. We use cushions and chairs mainly due to lack of space but quite a lot can be done with these. Blankets can be held between chairs to create a tunnel and these are great fun. When they get bored of the obstacle course they use the blankets to make a tent between the sofa and the chairs and often sit there for ages talking about smugglers and sinking ships.

There are plenty of other things that we do at home and having such a large family means that each and every child manages to contribute their own ideas. The downside is that the mess created is unbelievable but the sound of laughter and smiles on happy faces far outweighs the mess - and even the odd scribble on the wall can be forgiven. After all they won't be children for long and when they have left home there will be plenty of time for us to enjoy a clean scribble-free house!

How to Control Your 3-Year-Old's Aggressive Behavior

Are you experiencing aggressive behavior in your 3-year-old? Is your 3-year-old calling all the shots? Do you feel exhausted and just don't know what else to do? If your answer is yes, and I bet it is... As you continue reading this article, you will learn how to end the power struggles, the aggressiveness and gain back control over your child behavior.

Majority of children are not able recognize their own strength or even the full consequences of their actions; and in a world where they are often being told what to do, where to go and how to behave, it does not seem all that unreasonable that they may sometimes need to speak out and be heard.

-As you may already know, controlling feelings and emotions is a learned skill and can be very difficult to master in some adults, let alone children. For whatever reason your 3 yr old throw the outburst, one thing to always keep in mind is to not interact with power and anger of any sort or you will end up with a child that is very defensive and will fight whatever you ask him not to do.

How to Control Your 3-Year-Old's Aggressive Behavior

-The good news is there are better ways to deal with this kind of aggressiveness that can create a win-win situation for both of you using proper child management methods. Nagging or punishing children for acting aggressively can make it more likely that they will act that way in the future. Imagine, if you will, a 3 yr old quietly piecing a puzzle together or even playing a video game. She/he has almost completed the puzzle/game but cannot get the final pieces/play to come together.

-Throughout this quiet half an hour the parent has been around but has said absolutely nothing. Nothing, that is until the child becomes obviously frustrated and throws the puzzle/game across the room and begins screaming or swearing loudly. At this point the parent intervenes by reprimanding the child and sending him/her to their room. You know where I am going with this right?

-It would appear that the parent has done everything appropriate in this situation, except for the fact that the only attention this child received during the time period was negative. If this is commonly the case, the child may begin to feel that any attention is better than no attention and as a result may continue to act out disruptively in daily activities.

-When dealing with aggressive children, it is worth the effort to praise even the smallest attempt at proper behavior, while paying very little if any attention to negative conduct. Praise can be a very strong motivator.

How to Forgive Yourself After You Cheat on Your Spouse

Many times, I get emails from the spouse who was cheated on. Mostly, they want to know how they can forgive their spouse for the cheating and move on. Sometimes though, I hear from the spouse who did the cheating. Sometimes, I'm told that the cheating spouse just can not forgive themselves for their cheating and this is keeping both people from moving on as this issue keeps presenting itself without being fully resolved. In the following article, I'll talk about forgiveness on both sides of the infidelity.

Not Being Able To Forgive Yourself When You Were The One Who Cheated: I have to be honest. When I first started getting these emails, I doubted that they were genuine. I thought that this was just the cheating spouse's way of playing the victim, of not taking responsibility for their actions, and of trying to elicit some sympathy from their spouse. I still think that this could be the case in some of the emails, but I also know that sometimes, things are exactly what they seem and that the writer is genuine.

Unless a person is completely heartless, it's absolutely normal to feel extreme guilt for inflicting this sort of undeserved pain on someone. And, once you see the fall out from your actions, the reality of the situation is a constant reminder of just what you've done. It's only natural and normal to struggle with forgiveness for this.

How to Forgive Yourself After You Cheat on Your Spouse

But, I also have to tell you that dwelling on what is in the past is a sure way to remain stuck. And, when you remain stuck, then you're also ensuring that you spouse remains stuck. In order for your spouse to be able to move on and heal, then you need to do the same. If you can not forgive yourself for you - then you should strive to do it for your spouse.

Understanding How Your Self Esteem And Personal Issues Were Likely Tied Into The Cheating: People who cheated will often tell me things like: "I don't know what I was thinking. My spouse did nothing wrong. She has been a good wife and did nothing to deserve this. How could I do this to her? And, how can I even look her in the eye when I know that there's no way to take this back or to make this right?"

I typically can't and don't make excuses for these folks. The truth is, there is always a choice, even in difficult circumstances. Sure, the marriage may have had it's problems. But, there are often several options available to deal with this rather than cheating. However, with that said, many people do not understand that often people cheat because of low self esteem or other perceived shortcomings. They cheat because they feel that they are falling short in some way and they are hoping that adding some spice in their lives will make them feel better or more confident about themselves.

Often, they are not aware of this thought process as it's happening. They will sometimes even deny this, but often, an affair is tied into internal and personal struggles more than it is tied into your spouse or your marriage. Is this an excuse? No, certainly not. But, I'm telling you this because I want for you to understand that you likely did not take this action in an attempt to or with the intention of hurting someone else.

Moving Forward After The Affair: I always advise the spouse who was cheating on to work on themselves while they are working on their marriage. They will likely have trust and self esteem issues that will need to be addressed. It is really no different for you. The truth is, you too need to work on yourself individually. The issues that contributed to the affair have likely only been magnified. Your guilt and inability to forgive yourself are now yet one more thing that you need to work on. The good news here is that if you are successful in addressing these things, it will help you tremendously on both a personal level and in terms of your marriage. Don't you and your spouse deserve the best that you can offer? Of course you do. It can seem "selfish" or self centered to work on yourself but I promise you that this work will benefit your spouse every bit as much as it benefits you.

Don't use the forgiveness excuse to remain stuck. Your spouse is depending on you to work things out so that the both of you can work together to move forward. And here's a secret. You're going to have a much easier time forgiving yourself if you can offer your spouse a new, improved, and fulfilling marriage that makes both of you happy. If you can strengthen yourselves and your marriage to the point where you are both excited about looking forward, then there is no need to look back or to dwell upon the inability to forgive.

I know that self work may seem selfish or difficult, but I highly recommend it for both spouses. It is what turned my marriage around after my husband's affair. Although I never would've believed this two years ago, my marriage is stronger than ever after my husband's affair. It took a lot of work, and I had to play the game to win, but it was worth it. Because of all the work I did on myself, my self esteem is at an all time high. I know longer worry my husband will cheat again. Top 10 Funeral Songs

When planning a memorial service, the music is a critical part. Many people are using popular songs rather than the traditional organ music, for a more contemporary service. Here are the top 10 most popular songs we have found that people are using for funerals, memorials, and life celebrations.

We have monitored which songs are most often purchased by people looking for songs for a funeral. Most of the songs are contemporary, and many of them are about angels, which are a popular theme for a funeral.

Before choosing a song, you will want to listen to the song and read all of the lyrics to make sure it works well for you.

Top 10 Funeral Songs

Angel - by Sarah McLachlan
This song is very modern and beautiful. The main lyric:
"You're in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort here"

To Where You Are - by Josh Groban
A moving song with a operatic and dramatic feel. Hearing the song makes you want to cry.
"Fly me up to where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for awhile to know you're there"

Somewhere Over the Rainbow - Israel Kamamawiwo'ole
Mashing together the classic songs "Somewhere over the Rainbow" and "What a Wonderful World", this song has added a Hawaiian feel and very laid-back vibe. It features ukulele music and has been included in several movie soundtracks. The artist died at the age of 38 in 1997.
"Somewhere over the rainbow
Blue birds fly
and the dream that I dare to
Oh why, oh why can't I
Well I see trees of green and
Red roses too
I'll watch them grow for
Me and you"

Sissy's Song - By Alan Jackson
This country song is a good song for the funeral of a young woman. It was written for the funeral of a woman who worked for Alan Jackson, after she died in a motorcycle accident.
"Lovely, sweet young woman
Daughter, wife and mother
Makes no sense to me...
...She flew up to Heaven on the wings of angels
By the clouds and stars and passed where no one sees
And she walks with Jesus and her loved ones waiting"

I Will Remember You - by Sarah McLachlan
Another by Sarah McLachlan makes the top ten. This song is tied with "Borrowed Angels" for the number 1 spot.
"But I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don't let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories"

Borrowed Angels - By Kristin Chenoweth
There is a classical feel to this song. This song and "I Will Remember You" are the two most popular songs. The song was performed by Chenoweth during the 9/11 commemoration ceremony in Lower Manhattan on September 11, 2010. This song would work especially well for a funeral of a child or baby.
"There must be Borrowed Angels, here in this life
They come along, into this world, and make this world bright
They can't stay forever, cause they're heaven sent
And sometimes, heaven needs them back again "

Angels Among Us - by Alabama
This song tends to get stuck in your mind. It's a sweet, touching song with a catchy melody, and it was written by Becky Hobbs and Don Goodman.
"They wear so many faces
Show up in the strangest places
Grace us with their mercy
In our time of need"

When I Get Where I'm Going - By Brad Paisley
Featuring Dolly Parton, this country song is a nice one for a grandfather. The music video features several people holding photos of loved ones who have died, including Michael Reagan holding a photo of Ronald Reagan, Dolly Parton holding a photo of her grandfather, and John Carter Cash with a photo of his parents, Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash.
"I'm gonna walk with my grand daddy
And he'll match me step for step
And I'll tell him how I missed him
Every minute since he left
Then I'll hug his neck"

Dancing With the Angels - By Monk and Neagle
This is a Christian group from Amarillo, Texas. The song is perfect for a funeral and is very uplifting with an acoustic pop sound.
"You're dancing with the angels
Heaven fills your eyes
Now that you're dancing with the angels"

You'll Be In My Heart - By Phil Collins
This song from "Tarzan" would be good for a grandfather or father because it speaks of "my arms will hold you safe and strong". It's a popular song that most people know.
"You'll be in my heart
No matter what they say
You'll be here
in my heart always
Always "

Any of these songs would be fitting for a funeral or memorial. If you use several songs, you could burn a CD with the songs and add some other favorite songs of your loved one. Give the CD to friends and family as a reminder of the person you have lost.

Office Security - 10 Great Tips For a More Secure Workplace

Today, businesses must address and prepare for security threats that are larger and more varied than ever before. With each technological advancement that allows innovative, effective business strategies, comes a security threat that is equally innovative and equally effective.

Any assessment of an office security system should begin with specific security needs and the impacts they will have on your business as a whole. You may need a facility secure enough for UL 2050 certification or you may simply need to ensure your employees safety before and after business hours. Regardless, here are ten important ways to improve your office security system.

Effective Communication: First and foremost is communicating information to and between employees. Many companies use email alerts to warn employees about would-be hackers. Likewise, be certain that employees remain updated on procedures and potential visitors. By letting employees know what and who to expect, they are better equipped to recognize suspicious activities or persons. In order to avoid complacency, try to use a single source of information that becomes part of an employee's routine. This could be a daily server broadcast or informational email. Whatever the source, it should be brief, practical, and include positive news as well as precautionary information. Key Control: Assign the responsibility of locking or unlocking the office to as few individuals as possible. Eliminating the "first in, last out" method ensures that all access points are secured regularly. Create a procedure for those responsible for opening or closing your office that includes checking washrooms, closets, or anywhere someone might be able to hide. Hard keys should be numbered and assigned to specific individuals. employees assigned keys should periodically be asked to produce their keys to verify a master registry. Site-Wide Policies: Something as simple as a "clean-desk" policy, training all employees to clear and secure their desks of valuable equipment or information before leaving for the day, drastically reduces potential theft. Mandating employees to have and display ID badges or access cards at all times increases the visibility of any unauthorized persons. Don't include job titles on any directory accessible to the general public as many criminals will use a name and title to justify their presence in restricted areas. Finally, make sure to maintain a "chain of possession." Any deliveries should be handed to a person and not left in a hallway or on an unattended desk. Small Investments: All computers, laptops especially, should be secured with cable or plate locks to avoid "walk-off." Docking stations are relatively inexpensive ways to protect electronic devices when not in use. Pay close attention to high-risk targets like state-of-the-art equipment, postage meters, check writers, and company checkbooks. Improve doors by installing peepholes and keypads. Utilize two locked doors surrounding a small lobby or foyer. This type of "airlock" system eliminates piggybacking, a method criminals use to gain entry by catching a locked door as an employee exits. Anti-Virus: While it is extremely unusual for a company not to have anti-virus software in this day and age, it is impossible to overstate its importance. High-end protection from viruses, spyware, malware, Trojans, and worms is one of the shrewdest investments an office can make. This includes firewall protection for your main system, security for your wireless Internet routers, and securing backups of all data, preferably off-site, for recovery in the event of a cyber attack. Lights, Camera, Layout: Be aware of "dark spots" both inside and outside your office. Install adequate lighting in parking lots and outdoor break areas for employee safety, eliminate blind areas in stairwells, and arrange hallways and offices to remove any places where someone could conceal himself or stolen items. Short of CCTV, discussed below, it may be worthwhile to install recording security cameras at key areas like loading bays and access points like after-hours entrances. Reception: Among the more complete solutions is to employ one or more full time receptionists. From a security system standpoint, this person allows for close inspection of credentials and identification and funnels security information through a single point. If it is impractical to have each visitor greeted and checked-in by a person, consider a dedicated phone line in your lobby or at your front door that goes only to a designated receiver. This method, combined with a sign-in station, can be a cost effective strategy for many offices. Access Control System: One of the difficulties with hard keys is reacting when one is lost or stolen. With an access control system, businesses can issue access cards to employees while maintaining complete control over what each card will open. Moreover, access control systems minimize risk by allowing only enough access to complete a job. Thus, employees, contractors, or visitors can be restricted by area or time of day. Two things are critical with access control systems. First, allow "total access" to as few individuals as possible. This will clarify who is authorized to be where and thereby enable employees to recognize and report infractions. Second, monitor the use of each card. By reviewing card activity, you can determine who needs access to where and at which times, streamlining routines and defining access. Closed Circuit Television (CCTV): For higher end security system needs, CCTV is one of the most effective methods of protection. Through limited broadcast, each camera can be monitored through a single interface. Depending on the specifics of the system, footage can be monitored by an employee or digitally recorded. Place cameras strategically to achieve the maximum coverage for a single unit. Likewise, cameras or corresponding signs that are visible to guests and employees can be effective deterrents and create a safe environment. It is important to remember, however, that as effective as CCTV is, it should be used efficiently and in tandem with other measures. For example, installing a unit in an entry with an "airlock" door system allows extended footage of a person(s) entering or exiting the premises. Proper Training: Above all, make sure each of your employees is adequately trained to use security equipment and follow procedures. Investment and planning in the best security system will have little impact if individuals are unclear on precaution and intervention. This may be as simple as making sure employees keep doors and windows secure or protect their personal belongings, but often entails specific training on identifying and responding to suspicious items, persons, or events.
